As the tournament went on, Wolves only got stronger as they convincingly won in the grand final.

The champion of Esports World Cup Presenting Teamfight Tactics has been crowned. Wolves Esports took the victory over T1 in the grand finals of EWC Presenting TFT by a 3-1 scoreline.

Wolves Esports’ journey to victory

Wolves Esports took the first seed in Group A by the way of back-to-back 2-1 victories against ZETA DIVISION and Branching Out, but the Playoffs is where the eventual champion turned on the afterburners. Wolves Esports ran through Natus Vincere and Team Vitality — both by a score of 2-0 — to qualify for the grand finals of Esports World Cup presenting Teamfight Tactics.

T1, who took first seed in Group C via 2-1 victories over Weibo Gaming and Zero Tenacity, cruised through Playoffs just as easily as Wolves Esports, with 2-0 wins over Branching Out and Twisted Minds. Then, T1 eventually hit a brick wall in the Grand Finals against the Wolves, only managing to take a single map.

Wolves Esports’ MVP and prize pool winnings

Li “LiShao” Chengyu dominated for Wolves Esports throughout EWC Presenting Teamfight Tactics, and the Grand Finals was more of the same — he was named tournament MVP.

Wolves Esports’ 1st place finish at Esports World Cup Presenting Teamfight Tactics landed the squad more than bragging rights. Wolves is taking home the $200,000 lion’s share of the $550,000 prize pool and has also been awarded 1,000 EWC Club Points.

In the Club Point standings at EWC 2024, Wolves has joined Alliance, Alpha 7 Esports, Selangor Red Giants, Smart Omega Esports, Crazy Raccoon, Team BDS, and KPL Dream Team in a eight-way tie for 6th place.
