R6 Siege at EWC 26 Champions: A Brazilian Brawl

Aug 15, 2026.

FaZe Clan claimed a historic 3-1 victory over regional rivals FURIA in the R6 Siege Grand Final at Esports World Cup. The Brazilian showdown earned FaZe the lion’s share of the $2,000,000 prize pool and 1,000 Club Championship points. Congratulations to FaZe Clan on their monumental victory.

A rivalry rooted in the South American League reached its biggest stage at EWC 26, with FaZe Clan defeating fellow Brazilian club FURIA 3-1 in the R6 Siege Grand Final. The two clubs have a long history of high-stakes matchups, including split results at the Six Invitational 2025 and South America League 2025 Stage 1. FaZe entered as the team to beat after winning the previous two Six Invitationals, while FURIA had rebuilt its roster from the ground up in March 2026.

The Explosive Pindorama Rivalry

That difference in roster construction was reflected in their contrasting playstyles. FURIA relied on hyper-aggression and raw mechanics, while FaZe’s more experienced roster showcased patient defensive crossfires that minimized aim duels and forced FURIA into late-round execute scenarios.

While FaZe’s initial 2-0 lead made the series look destined for a sweep, FURIA regained momentum on Map 3, pushing Fortress into overtime before finally putting itself on the board. FURIA continued applying pressure on Map 4, using its raw mechanics and aggression to try to force a fifth map. FaZe Clan completely neutralized that approach with patient defensive crossfires, closing out the map 7-5 and securing the EWC trophy.

FaZe Clan’s Historic Three-Peat

FaZe Clan’s win in Paris made them the first club to claim all three S-tier international titles in the R6 Siege competitive circuit. At the center of FaZe’s success was Jaime “Cyber” Ramos, a core member of the roster since 2021 who has helped lead the club to sustained success at the highest level. Averaging 13 kills per map against their world-class regional rivals, Cyber was honored with the SONY MVP award for his performance.

“I personally felt I was trailing behind my teammates, so I was joking around with them and said I’m going to steal the MVP award away from them," Cyber said. "It turns out, I managed to play pretty well."

Club Championship points secured

FaZe Clan’s championship win awarded the club 1,000 Club Championship points, bringing its total to 1,200 and moving it into 13th place. Combined with its first-place finish in R6 Siege and top-eight finish in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, FaZe has already secured valuable points across multiple titles. While the American club is out of the Club Championship race, it can still climb the rankings with a strong Counter-Strike 2 performance in the final week.
