RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (July 1, 2025) - The Esports World Cup Foundation (“EWCF”) announces a three-year renewal and expansion of its partnership with Aramco for the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC). The world’s largest esports and gaming event is set to return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this summer. The agreement will see Aramco leverage its involvement in motorsports aimed at driving innovation in racing esports and delivering a world-class, inspiring fan experience at EWC.

For the 2025 event, Aramco will elevate its presence as the title partner of the enhanced Aramco SIM Arena, building on the success of its inaugural collaboration at the 2024 Esports World Cup. At the heart of EWC, fans will be able to immerse themselves in new and interactive motorsports activities at the Aramco SIM Arena. The Aramco SIM Arena aims to bring the thrill of an F1 Grand Prix race to Riyadh. There, visitors will have the chance to test their racing skills by taking part in different challenges.

New for 2025, the Aramco Esports Championship will run as a single four-week season during the Esports World Cup. Each weekend will feature two online qualifiers, with racers battling for leaderboard positions to earn a spot in the in-person finale at the Aramco SIM Arena. The top 20 finalists will compete for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with the Aston Martin Aramco F1™ Team. The championship winner will be invited to a special driver development program at the Aston Martin Esports HQ at Silverstone.

  • Qualifier 8: Saturday, 16 August

Finals (On-ground at the Aramco SIM Arena)

  • Qualifier Race: Thursday, 21 August – Determines the starting grid positions for all 20 finalists.
  • Grand Final: Friday, 22 August – All 20 finalists compete for the grand prize.

Interested participants can register via the Aramco Esports Championship microsite, where they’ll be directed to join the official Discord server.

The Aramco Power Rankings will also be introduced for the first time in 2025. This innovative format, exclusively brought by Aramco, is designed to enhance fans’ engagement with their favorite games and players. Selected game experts will present a power ranking table of players ahead of the first match of each game title. Across broadcast and social media, fans will be invited to engage with the talent’s predictions and share their own opinions.
