IT'S TIME TO RISE ABOVE
The Esports World Cup is not just 7 weeks out of the year, it’s a LIFETIME in the making. Players from every major esports title will aim to qualify to EWC — to fulfill their destinies after years of determination and passion.
This is EWC
Everyone Starts Differently — But With the Same Passion and Drive.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) is a premier annual sporting event and global celebration of competitive excellence and esports fandom. At the heart of the competition is the EWC Club Championship, featuring a unique cross-game format that pits the world’s top esports Clubs against one another for the largest prize pool in esports history.
Clubs earn points based on their success in each game, with the top-ranked Club at the end of the tournament crowned the Esports World Cup Club Champion. All participants must earn their way to the EWC through each game’s qualification process. The EWC’s format creates opportunities for players – from grassroots to pros – to compete on the world’s biggest esports stage, connecting fans to their favorite games and driving sustainable growth across the global esports ecosystem.
Taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24, EWC 2025 will feature 2,000 elite players and 200 Clubs from more than 100 countries, competing in 25 tournaments across 24 games for a record-breaking $70+ million prize pool, and is expected to draw millions of people online and in person.
Boulevard City in Riyadh is the home of the EWC Festival, where community esports tournaments, live music, retro arcades, anime cafés, cosplay, creator studios, and more come together, offering millions of fans exclusive gaming experiences.
