EWC 26 Fan Fest Week 5 Recap

As Fan Fest at the Esports World Cup continued to showcase interactive experiences and new ways for fans to engage with esports, Week 5 delivered an exclusive public first look at the upcoming FPS, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. With EWC 26 now heading toward its endgame, here’s a look back at some of the week’s featured presentations and experiences.

The Community House

Celebrating Honor of Kings

Fans made their way to the Community House throughout the week for a full schedule of Honor of Kings trivia, casual play sessions and mini tournaments that put their skills to the test. The space also introduced a new set of EWC Play Quests, with fans earning XP by completing in-game challenges and moving closer to a share of the $300,000 total prize pool.

Ahead of the KWC finals, the HoK AoV Global Star Showmatch brought together stars, former pros and creators from around the world for a showcase of Super Flow Brawl, Honor of Kings’ randomized talent mode. Team Kings, featuring Dlar, Syafiq Aiman, Luo, Rong, Oheb and Hai, defeated Team Valors 2-0 to give fans a star-studded preview of the KWC finals.

The International Club House

A packed house for AG.AL

AG.AL was one of the clubs featured at the International Club House throughout Week 5, with its meet-and-greet drawing a packed crowd of passionate supporters. Fresh off a deep run at the Honor of Kings World Cup 2026, AG.AL’s players were greeted by fans eager to celebrate the team and meet the stars who had just competed on the KWC stage

The Publisher House

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives at EWC

Activision took over the Publisher House in Week 5, giving EWC 26 attendees an exclusive first look at the next chapter in the iconic Call of Duty franchise. Fans got the first European hands-on experience with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, playing a round on the brand-new multiplayer map Kill Block and earning beta access codes for taking part.

The experience went beyond the game itself, with attendees able to join the public leaderboard for a chance to earn limited-edition Modern Warfare 4 merchandise. Fans could also complete the week’s EWC Quest by playing Kill Block, answering a Modern Warfare 4 trivia question and taking a photo at the dedicated photo opportunity. The top daily scorers on the Activision leaderboard walked away with event-exclusive merchandise, giving fans another reason to put their skills to the test.

From FGC legends to streaming superstars

Paris continued to cement Fan Fest as a major destination for esports creators, bringing some of the biggest personalities from across gaming together under one roof. FGC legend Justin Wong returned for another week of EWC action as an official TEKKEN 8 co-streamer, bringing his decades of fighting game experience and multiple EVO championships to the tournament. EVO legend and TEKKEN 8 competitor Arslan Ash was also on-site at Fan Fest, giving fans the chance to meet one of the best players in the world. Call of Duty was equally well represented, with former professional Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparatto and commentator Gabriel “Aroma” Hamshaw joining Fan Fest to provide live analysis, reactions and their own perspectives on the competition.

The creator presence extended beyond co-streams, with members of the popular CORE streamer group also making their way through Fan Fest. Jasontheween, Marlon, Adapt and Stable Ronaldo explored the Fan Zone and Arcade, bringing their massive online audiences along for the experience and showcasing another side of EWC 26 beyond the competition itself.
