The second-to-last week of the 2025 Esports World Cup will run from August 11th to 17th and will feature championship events for Rocket League, Teamfight Tactics, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, and TEKKEN 8, while also hosting the Street Fighter 6 at EWC 25 Last Chance Qualifier.

Rocket League featured at 2025 Esports World Cup
Rocket League featured at 2025 Esports World Cup starts on August 14th at 3 PM KSA, featuring 16 elite RLCS-qualified teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Teams are placed into four groups of four in a double-elimination group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing to a single-elimination playoff bracket. The Grand Final is planned for August 17th at 11 PM to determine who takes home the trophy and the largest share of the prize.

Teamfight Tactics at 2025 Esports World Cup runs from August 11th to 15th with 16 teams battling for a $500,000 prize pool. Unlike traditional Teamfight Tactics tournaments, this event features a 4v4 team-based format that emphasizes coordination and strategy across squads.
The action kicks off with a group stage on August 11th at 11PM KSA, where teams are split into four groups of four and face off in Best of Three matches using a double-elimination GSL-style bracket. The top two from each group advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket held on August 14th and 15th, with the Grand Final played as a Best of Five to determine who takes home the biggest share of the prize.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS World Cup at 2025 Esports World Cup
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup runs from August 12th to 16th, where 24 of the world’s top teams will clash for a $2,000,000 prize pool. The tournament opens with a three-day group stage featuring three groups of eight, with each group playing against the others to determine the top 16 squads that will advance.
The bottom eight teams will be eliminated, while the finalists go head-to-head across 12 matches using the S.U.P.E.R. scoring system. Unlike other battle royale games at the event, PUBG’s format emphasizes survival and consistency over flashy eliminations, with the champion decided by total points rather than a final match.

TEKKEN 8 at 2025 Esports World Cup
TEKKEN 8 at 2025 Esports World Cup kicked off last week with the last chance qualifier. Fans saw a grueling double-elimination bracket featuring 64 players battling for the final spots in the Tekken 8 main event.
Now the main stage begins. From August 13th to 16th, 32 of the world’s top Tekken 8 players will face off for the title and a massive $1,000,000 prize pool. To reach the finals, players must first survive two GSL-style group stages before fighting it out in an eight-player single-elimination bracket, ending with the grand final on August 16th at 10PM KSA.
Street Fighter 6 at 2025 Esports World Cup Last Chance Qualifier
Fans who just can’t get enough FGC content can also tune in to the Street Fighter 6 at EWC 25 Last Chance Qualifier, where 64 players will battle for the final ten spots in the main tournament. Outside of main tournament qualification, the LCQ also has a $50,000 prize pool to divide among players who don’t make it to next week.
