EWC Week 4 Watch Guide - Matches You Shouldn't Miss

Week 4 of the inaugural Esports World Cup is bringing competitive matches to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in three esports. PUBG MOBILE World Cup x Esports World Cup will continue on from Week 3 and will be joined by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational 2024 x Esports World Cup and Esports World Cup: Overwatch 2.

PUBG MOBILE World Cup x Esports World Cup

PUBG Mobile kicked off last week with the Group Stage, which divided 24 teams into three groups of eight. At the end of the group stage, the teams that placed 1st-12th auto-qualified for the Main Stage, which begins on July 28th. The teams who placed 13th-24th have qualified for the Survival Stage, where they will battle over the last four Main Stage seeds.

All eyes will be on Falcons Force in the Survival Stage. No team has played below expectations to the extent that Falcons Force has thus far, and for them to make a deep run in the Main Stage as expected, they will have to shake off a rough 16th place finish in the Group Stage.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational 2024 x Esports World Cup

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports is returning to EWC 2024 with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational 2024 x Esports World Cup. Just over a week after ML:BB crowned an EWC champion, 12 of the top teams from the Female ML:BB scene will be divided into three groups of four. The top 2 teams from each group will move on to the eight-team Playoffs bracket for a chance at the $180,000 lion’s share of the $500,000 prize pool.

Team Falcons is currently leading the EWC 2024 Points Standings across all games with 2950, and they’ll have a good chance to extend their 1800 point lead over 2nd place Team Liquid with presence in Group A and Group C with Falcons Vega and Falcons Vega MENA, respectively.

Esports World Cup: Overwatch 2

Esports World Cup: Overwatch 2 will begin on Thursday, July 25. 16 teams will be seeded into four groups of four for a single round-robin that will see the top three teams in each group move on to the Playoffs. The 2nd and 3rd seeds from each group will begin the Playoffs in Round 1; the 1st seeds from each group receive an automatic bye to the Quarterfinals.

The groups for the Esports World Cup: Overwatch 2 are relatively balanced, but the premiere matchup exists in Group B between sole China invite LGD.OA and one of the tournament favorites in Team Falcons.
