The third week of the 2025 Esports World Cup concluded with epic grand finals across StarCraft II, Honor of Kings, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. As the fourth week begins, here’s a look at the updated Club Championship leaderboard.

Club of the Week Award

AG.AL — after completing an incredible comeback against Talent Gaming Global in KWC at EWC 25 — has proven to be the premier Chinese competitor at the 2025 Esports World Cup. The club now sits in second place in the Club Championship standings. AG.AL is your Club of the Week.

Player of the Week Award

All seemed lost for OpTic Gaming in the semifinal of Call of Duty: BO6 at EWC 25. Then Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro locked in and led his team on a seven-game win streak, ultimately culminating in the American squad lifting the trophy in Riyadh. Shotzzy is your Player of the Week.

Serral claims world championship title in Starcraft II at EWC 25

Joona "Serral" Sotala showed the world why he’s one of StarCraft II’s greatest players with his 5-2 victory against Kim "Classic" Doh-woo in the grand final of StarCraft II at EWC 25. The Zerg player entered the match as the favorite and lived up to the hype. He took the first couple of maps with precision despite Classic’s aggressive two-gate opener. While Classic fought back to tie the series 2-2, Serral kept his cool and closed out the match with three straight wins.

Serral earns $200,000 for his first-place finish, alongside 1,000 points for BASILISK in the Club Championship standings.

AG.AL perseveres for legendary reverse sweep in KWC at EWC 25

AG.AL pulled off a fantastic comeback to claim the KWC at EWC 25 title for Honor of Kings. Although the team dropped three games in a row against TT Global, they pushed through to win the final three and closed out the series 4-3. Prior to the grand final, AG.AL International’s Chen “Zoe” Jiahao said that victory required this level of perseverance in a battle of the strong versus the strong.

For his outstanding jungle play, Zoe was named Sony MVP. AG.AL International also claimed $750,000 plus 1,000 points.

OpTic Gaming wins seven straight in Call of Duty BO6 at EWC 25

OpTic Gaming kept their momentum going after major victories over 100 Thieves and Team Heretics in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. When it came down to the grand finals, they swept Vancouver Surge 4-0 to cement their place as the best Black Ops 6 roster. After the match, Mason "Mercules" Ramsey said the team knew they’d win after taking down Team Heretics, as long as they focused on playing their game. Honing in on mistakes also made a huge difference.

The team’s strong synergy came through when it mattered most, and Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro was named Sony MVP for his incredible gameplay. For their efforts, OpTic Gaming earned 1,000 points and $600,000.
