PVISION Surpass Regional Rivals to Win Dota 2 at Esports World Cup 2026 in Near Flawless Run

PARIS, France (July 19, 2026) -- After two weeks of intense competition on the Lenovo Legion Gauntlet stage, PVISION have emerged victorious in Dota 2 at Esports World Cup 2026, righting the wrongs of last year’s semifinal finish. They took on BB Team in a tense grand final match, one which saw both teams prove their worth on the international stage.

With a $2,000,000 prize pool on the line, 24 of the world's best Dota 2 teams faced off to determine who would walk away with the lion's share of the prize pool, along with 1,000 Club Championship points, and the trophy.

PVISION took the top spot in the Group C standings without losing a single match, drawing only once against EWC 2025 winners Team Spirit. A near flawless run through the playoffs saw the team take down Rune Eaters and Team Yandex to lock in a spot at the grand finals. BB Team fought through Nigma Galaxy and Vici Gaming to lock in their grand final placing without dropping a single game.

At the beginning of the best-of-five grand final, a shaky start in game one from PVISION gave opponents BB Team an early advantage. Despite their best efforts, it was a gap that PVISION just couldn’t close and led to the fall of their Ancient. While game two looked to play out the same way, a late show of dominance from PVISION secured the team their first win of the series, tying it at 1-1. They followed with another dominant showing in game three to put BB Team on the ropes, only to deliver a swift and powerful knockout in game four to secure the trophy.

Following the trophy lift, Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov mentioned that he simply "played the fourth game like a public game," as a show of confidence and experience.

"Thank you for everyone watching, cheering for us. It's very important for us, and we are trying our best only because of you," said Andrey "Dukalis" Kuropatkin, following the conclusion of the Dota 2 tournament.

Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko was named SONY MVP for his performance during the tournament, earning an extra $25,000. He was instrumental in the team's run throughout the two-week competition, where PVISION only dropped three games in total.

Ahead of today’s finals, Vici Gaming took on Team Yandex in the battle for third place. The two teams, having fought hard through the playoffs, were set for one last best-of-three. In the end, it was Team Yandex who triumphed with a 2-0 sweep, taking the win and the $200,000 third place share of the prize pool. Against the odds, Rune Eaters secured a top eight placement despite having not qualified for a single LAN this season. Despite losing to PVISION in the quarterfinals, the Kazakhstan-based team proved they still have plenty of fight left in them.
