PARIS, France (August 22, 2026) – BaiSha Gaming have finally lifted the Esports World Cup CrossFire trophy, adding the one missing piece of silverware from their impressive trophy cabinet to their collection.
After winning CrossFire Stars consecutively in 2022 and 2023, BaiSha Gaming established themselves as one of the best teams in the world, but in 2025 the roster stumbled in the final of the Esports World Cup, giving AG AL the victory, and a disastrous performance in the CrossFire Stars 2025 tournament led many to think the roster could be losing its touch.
However, they have now silenced the critics with an impressive performance at the Esports World Cup that saw them dominate 2025 champions AG AL, and their grand final opponent Team Liquid, to once again establish themselves as the best CrossFire team in the world.
BaiSha gaming qualified for the tournament as China's first seed, but had a rough start to their EWC campaign with an early group stage loss. However, they fought back and qualified for the playoffs, where they faced off against the reigning EWC champions, AG AL. BaiSha pushed past them 2-1, before going on to face off against KINGZERO-eSports once again, but this time they would triumph 3-1 to book their place in the grand final against Team Liquid. The grand final, however, was a clean sweep, as BaiSha dominated the proceedings, and cleaned out their rivals 3-0.
Wang "N9" Hao has said that the EWC title is the only trophy that he doesn't have, but after a successful sweep of Team Liquid in the grand final, he can now finally add that piece of silverware to his CrossFire cabinet, further solidifying himself as the greatest CrossFire player of all time.
Competing since 2015, N9 has collected CrossFire Stars trophies from the age of 17, winning his first in 2016. Further CrossFire Stars wins in 2017, 2022, and 2023 added to his legend, and he has long been renowned for his laser-sharp aim, with many touting him as the best CrossFire playernof all time. With this EWC win, he can now underline that claim, having now taken the only trophy that has eluded him in competitive CrossFire.
On winning the tournament, and finally lifting the EWC trophy, Wang "N9" Hao said, “I feel absolutely amazing, because we weren’t the favourites, and we had such a difficult group. But in these three days, we had the hardest road, but now we are here and we have the sweetest victory.”
For his strong leadership throughout the tournament, N9 was also named the Sony MVP, earning an additional $25,000. On receiving the award, the team captain said, “I couldn’t have won this MVP, I couldn’t have won this trophy without the help of my teammates. It is a team game after all, and I think I simply did what needed to be done.”
“But it was really my teammates that have elevated each other,” he continued. “So I’m just there telling them, commanding them, leading the team. But it requires a team effort. Everyone did the utmost, everyone did their part. It is absolutely a team effort and not an individual one.”
Ahead of the grand finals, KINGZERO-eSports took on Team Stallions in the fight for third place, one that ended in a fast 3-0 sweep. KINGZERO-eSports secured a bittersweet place on the podium, having been a strong force throughout the tournament and only ever dropping to BaiSha Gaming. For Sun "ice" Peihe, this marked his first showing at an international playoffs and one that will no doubt ignite the passion to return stronger. A third place finish sees KINGZERO-eSports take home $210,000 in prize money.
