Club Championship Top Contenders at EWC 2025
While all forty teams may be competing for the title, a handful of teams have the best chance due to how many games they're competing in. Team Liquid, Virtus.pro, and Gen.G are among the organizations competing in more games this year than they did last year, giving them more opportunities to earn points and climb the Club Championship leaderboard.

Team Falcons
The 2024 Club Championship winners are back with sights set on another trophy. The Saudi Arabian organization has expanded their participation in the Esports World Cup from 17 in 2024 to at least 20 in 2025. New entries include tournaments like Chess at EWC 25 and FATAL FURY: COTW at EWC 25. Team Falcons have earned a second-place finish in Dota 2 at EWC 25, helping them reach third place on the Club Championship leaderboard.

Twisted Minds
The Saudi Arabian organization went from 12 events at EWC 2024 to 13 at EWC 2025. New entries include Chess at EWC 25. Despite competing in a large number of events, Twisted Minds has stumbled in their start. The organization's squads in both the ALGS: 2025 Midseason Playoffs and MWI at EWC 25 earned zero points toward the Club Championship.

Team Vitality
Team Vitality went from competing in nine tournaments in 2024 to 11 in 2025. The French organization expanded their participation to include Chess at EWC 25 and Free Fire at EWC 25. Team Vitality has already secured a first place finish in MWI at EWC 25, a third-place finish in Rennsport at EWC 25 and a fourth-place finish in KWC at EWC 25.
Team Vitality currently holds the lead on the Club Championship leaderboard.

AG.AL

The organization increased their participation from five games in 2024 to nine games in 2025. They even went as far as to partner with fellow Chinese organization Anyone’s Legend in order to increase their reach and compete in League of Legends at EWC 25.

Team Liquid
Team Liquid – one of the premier esports organizations in the world – took part in nine tournaments during the 2024 Esports World Cup. One year later, the storied franchise has expanded into 13 separate competitions for EWC 25. Team Liquid hasn't earned a podium finish at EWC 25 yet, but the organization still has plenty of chances to do so going forward.

Virtus.pro
Russian organization Virtus.pro increased the number of tournaments it entered from eight in 2024 to at least 16 in 2025. The Counter-Strike heavyweights expanded into competitions like Call of Duty: BO6 at EWC 25, Chess at EWC 25, and Call of Duty: Warzone at EWC 25.
