Rocket League boosts its way back to EWC 2025

May 21, 2025.

Rocket League, one of the world's foremost (and most surprising) sports titles, is rocketing its way back into the EWC 2025 lineup! Last year's competition saw a huge upset in the finals! So this year there is no telling who is going to take the crown!

Tune in to witness the insane acrobatics, the ridiculous saves, and legendary goals that are on display anywhere the best Rocket League players show up to play!

LAST TIME ON: Esports World Cup ft. Rocket League

Last year, the hometown heroes on Team Falcons were looking locked in to take the first ever EWC Rocket League championship. After all, they didn’t drop a single map in group stage or quarterfinals, and only lost one map to G2 Stride in semifinals!

Team BDS was their final test. Team BDS had a much different run to the top, dropping multiple maps during the playoffs and surviving groups through the lower bracket. But the adversity only made them stronger! In a defensive masterclass in finals, Team BDS fended off the superstars on Team Falcons to claim the title in a spectacular 4-2 match that left Falcons in shambles, wondering what just happened!

Dates and Tournament Format

This year's Esports World Cup Rocket League tournament is going down August 14-17.

Like last year, we’ll start with a four group playoff to narrow the sixteen qualified teams down to eight. The final eight will compete in a high-stakes, single elimination tournament to decide the EWC ft. Rocket League 2025 championship!
