R6 Siege X at EWC 25 Champions: Flawless Team Secret
Aug 09, 2025.
TOM CLANCY'S RAINBOW SIX SIEGE X at 2025 Esports World Cup has reached its thrilling conclusion, with Team Secret claiming victory over G2 in an action packed final. They take home the lion’s share of the $1.000.000 prize pool and earn their club 1000 Club Championship points. Congratulations to Team Secret on their first win at EWC 25.

Bringing down the reigning champions
With the tournament kicking off with some unforgiving best-of-1s, Secret needed to be at the top of their game from minute one to become champion slayers. The volatility of this format was on display in their first match versus defending champions Team Falcons.
Team Secret won the match 8-6 in overtime, sending Team Falcons to the lower bracket. The birds of prey were sent home after losing their next elimination match.

A perfect playoff performance
After winning their next match versus w7m esports in a convincing 7-2 fashion, Team Secret secured their spot in the playoff bracket. Weibo Gaming and Spacestation were the next to fall. The mixed-European roster secured their spot in the final without dropping a map.
The other side of the bracket was far tighter, with G2 and Furia making their way into the semifinals. In what was one of the best Siege games of the year, G2 came out on top and secured their spot across from Team Secret.

The Brazilian favorites in third
G2 vs. Furia was viewed as a final match of its own by many, but Secret didn't share that opinion. A seemingly effortless win for Rainbow Six Siege X's top Brazilian squad in the third-place decider lent some credibility to that narrative. They weren't those ones competing for the trophy, though.
However, that sentiment may have only fueled Team Secret’s fire heading into the final. Despite not dropping a single map throughout the entire tournament, there were still doubts about their abilities. It wasn’t just about winning for them; it was about proving that their flawless performance wasn’t the result of an easy bracket.
Prove that they did. Team Secret sealed their statement run with yet another impressive performance, sweeping the finals 3-0 to cap off a near-flawless tournament. Though the scoreline suggests domination, it was far from that.
"G2 played a great game," Noah "NoaUrz" Urwitz said. "They really tested us to the limit.”
G2 looked poised to start a comeback in the third map, but just when the momentum seemed to have swung in their favor, Secret took back control. This resulted in overtime, in which the champions cemented their undefeated tournament run, winning 8-7 and, in doing so, claiming the R6 Siege X at EWC 25 title.
SONY MVP
While multiple Team Secret players were in the running, Adrian “Adrian” Tryka was chosen as this year’s SONY Most Valuable Player. The Polish player takes home an extra $10,000.

Club Championship
Team Falcons, the Club Championship frontrunners and defending champions, gained zero points during R6 Siege X at EWC 25 after getting knocked out in the group stage. No other high-ranking Club Championship contenders were in the mix except for Virtus.pro.
The Eastern European organization did manage to secure some points by making their way into the quarterfinals, but that may not be enough to keep them in contention for the Club Championship. Outside of simply needing more points, Virtus.pro also needs their first win in order to be eligible for the Club Championship title.
With hundreds of matches set to take place over the next few days, new legends will rise as champions are crowned and rivals are toppled. Watch the Esports World Cup 2025 live or check out the ticket options to watch in-person this week!
