Team Vitality cements place in MWI history
Natus Vincere struck first in the Grand Finals, taking an early lead and closing out Game 1 in 18 minutes. Vitality answered back in Game 2 before surviving the longest game of the tournament in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead.
Refusing to back down, Natus Vincere leveled the series once again in Game 4, but Vitality proved too strong in the final stretch. The defending champions closed out the series with the two fastest victories of the match, claiming the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s International title at the 2026 Esports World Cup.
After the win, Michelle "Chell" Siswanto praised the team’s hard work, saying the championship was a reward for the dedication and effort the squad put in throughout the tournament. Vivian "Vivian" Indrawaty celebrated the moment with a burst of emotion, shouting “welcome back to my dream everybody!” during the post-match ceremony.
Tournament MVP Viorelle "Vival" Chen said she was thrilled with both the individual honor and the team’s championship result, especially with the tournament taking place in Paris, Team Vitality’s home ground. She dedicated the victory to the fans who supported the team throughout their title defense.
Championship points secured
Today’s final was more than a clash between two MLBB powerhouses. It also featured a head-to-head battle between the top two clubs in the Club Championship standings. With Vitality’s victory and the additional 1,000 points, they closed the gap on Natus Vincere to just 250 points, as Na’Vi earned 750 points for their runner-up finish.
More importantly, both organizations now meet the Club Championship eligibility requirements. Each club has secured a championship victory while also achieving a second top-eight finish, ensuring they remain in contention for the overall title.
While MWI at EWC 26 has concluded, more MLBB action is coming to Paris next week. The MSC at EWC 26 Group Stage begins on July 22, bringing the world’s top MLBB men's teams to the stage.
