Free Fire returns to Riyadh for EWC 2025
May 23, 2025.
After breaking Free Fire viewership records in 2024, the battle royale is back and looking to top last year’s hype and excitement in 2025! Will Team Falcons install a second key in the EWC Free Fire trophy, or will a new challenger rise up and take their throne?
Here’s what to expect!

LAST TIME ON: Free Fire at 2025 Esports World Cup
Last year’s Free Fire tournament started with a point rush stage, where teams competed to take home head start points for the finals. This stage was led by Buriram United, who established an early lead heading into the finals. But on the day of the finals, Team Falcon showed up locked, loaded, and ready to win.
They set the tone with their first Booyah, putting up a show stopping 28 kills and earning 40 points early. While the finals would remain a close affair after that, with All Gamers hot on Falcon’s haunches, the squad finished it with style by rolling over EVOS in the final circle of the entire tournament to take home the Championship with a Booyah! They earned $300,000 and the prestige of knowing they are the best Free Fire team in the world.
Free Fire at 2025 Esports World Cup Dates and Tournament Format

Next will be the point rush stage, followed the next day by the Grand Finals, where teams will compete in a match point format to earn themselves the Free Fire EWC 2025 Championship title.
