Festival Favorites: Week 4 Review

Another week of the Esports World Cup Festival brought a fantastic lineup of activities and highlights across Boulevard Riyadh City.


There’s always something to do at the Esports World Cup Festival, and Week 4 didn’t disappoint. It featured friendly challenges, racing and track experiences galore, art installations, classic gaming, and much more.

JAMEEL Motorsport Park

The Racing Lab

The Racing Lab at JAMEEL Motorsport Park was the place to be for a racing experience like no other. This standing activation simulated a professional training facility with multiple stations. Created to test reaction time, focus, decision-making skills, and motor control, these activities captured the intensity of elite racing without the need for an actual track.

Japan Park in Crunchyroll Box

Kaiju No. 8: Find the Stone Challenge

This week, Japan Park featured a special Kaiju No. 8: Find the Stone Challenge. This activity put everyone’s sense of touch to the test, requiring them to slide their hand into a mystery box. The goal was to find the Kaiju-shaped stone hidden inside. With six unique stones to identify, it was a fun and engaging challenge for visitors of all ages.

Japan Park in Crunchyroll Box

Attack on Titan

Elsewhere at Japan Park stood a giant statue of Eren’s titan form. Fans of the Attack on Titan series found it to be the perfect spot for some epic photos. Nearby was a statue of the iconic Colossal Titan peering over a wall. There were even a bunch of cardboard cutouts of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi for more fun photos with the fandom’s favorite characters.

Aramco SIM Arena

Art Installations - Aramco History

The Aramco SIM Arena was all about bringing visitors into the world of motorsports with art installations, photo opportunities, and more this week. The installations showcasing Aramco’s rich history featured photos accompanied by stories. What made the entire experience special was that the venue itself reflected the starting grid of a real Formula 1 circuit.

HMG Play Park

EVA

Visitors looking for immersive fun needed to look no further than the EVA activity at HMG Play Park. This experience blurred the line between technology and humanity as participants interacted with a sentient AI through storytelling. Their choices also shaped EVA’s journey, exploring themes of relationships and consciousness along the way.

Retro Park

Wii Section and Smart Devices Timeline

Visitors got involved in some gaming and exercise thanks to the Wii Section at Retro Park this week. They picked up a Wii remote, played classics like tennis, and challenged others to some friendly competition. Afterwards, they slowed down by checking out the Smart Devices Timeline area — a wall that gave visitors a blast from the past with mentions of the first-ever iPad, Amazon Kindle, iPod, BlackBerry, Nokia 3310, and more.

stc Gaming Hall

Team Liquid Booth and Team Liquid ML:BB Meet & Greet

Fans of Team Liquid had an unforgettable experience throughout the entire week. The esports organization's special booth at the stc Gaming Hall became the go-to spot to connect with fellow fans. There were chess activities here as well — did you know that the legendary Magnus Carlsen is part of Team Liquid? The Team Liquid ML:BB Meet & Greet event added to the experience, as attendees got to see even more of their favorites in person.
