Week 4 of the Esports World Cup 2026 is officially in the books, with four new champions crowned across four titles. Call of Duty: Warzone, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Street Fighter 6, and Overwatch all saw their champions lift the EWC trophy after unforgettable runs on the biggest stage.

Street Fighter 6 at EWC 26

Youth over experience

Team Falcons’ Jaime "Craime" Bustos became the youngest-ever EWC champion after defeating SBI e-Sports’ Hibiki in the Street Fighter 6 Grand Final. Both finalists were the only players throughout the tournament to defeat legendary FGC icon Saul Leonardo "MenaRD" Mena II, while Craime also overcame EVO Japan 2026 champion Eisuke Yamaguchi on his path to the title.

The victory was not only a landmark moment for Craime, but also a pivotal result for Team Falcons’ Club Championship campaign. By claiming the Street Fighter 6 title, the Saudi Arabian club earned the eligibility needed to compete for the Club Championship for a third consecutive year.

MLBB Mid Season Cup at EWC 26

A thrilling finale

Team Spirit secured victory in a nail-biting back-and-forth Grand Final at MSC at EWC 26, becoming the first-ever Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) representative to lift a major international trophy. Spirit defeated Yangon Galacticos 4-3 in an instant classic that saw both teams push the series to its limit before Team Spirit closed out the decisive seventh game.

For his stellar performance throughout MSC at EWC 26, Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Panagiotis Chatzilakos was awarded the SONY MVP award. The Team Spirit EXP Laner appeared overwhelmed with emotion immediately after the victory, describing the moment as surreal, but later showed a humble side when reflecting on the honor. “I don’t think I did more than my teammates,” he said. “Instead, I’m still thankful for this award.”

Warzone Resurgence Series at EWC 26

A anziety-filled surprise

G2 Esports, a team that had not won a single map across DreamHack Birmingham or Atlanta, shocked the world by securing the Warzone Resurgence Series title in Match 11. Anthony "Anziety" Moran consistently put his trio in a position to succeed, guiding the team to 210 total points, nearly 30 points ahead of the runner-up.

The Canadian and American roster overcame tournament favorites including Twisted Minds and Team Falcons, claiming a trophy few expected them to lift.

OWCS Midseason Championship at EWC 26

From 2024 with love

ZETA DIVISION displayed complete dominance throughout their OWCS MSC run. The Japanese club defeated VARREL and GeeKay Esports in the Group Stage before sweeping through the Playoffs against Dallas Fuel and T1 without dropping a single map.

The Grand Final against Twisted Minds proved more competitive, ending in a 4-2 victory, but ZETA DIVISION remained in control throughout the series to claim the championship. Kim “shu” Jin-seo, who earned MVP honors for his performance, lifted his second EWC trophy after previously winning the 2024 championship with Crazy Raccoon.
