The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 kicks off with a spectacular week of gaming action, setting the stage for an unforgettable summer in Riyadh. The inaugural week features a lineup of elite competitions in Dota 2, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Call of Duty: Warzone, each drawing global attention and promising intense battles for impressive prize pools.
Riyadh Masters, brings together 20 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams to compete across three thrilling stages for a $5,000,000 prize pool. Stage 1 - Play-In: From July 4 to July 7, 12 teams are divided into two groups of six, battling for a spot in the next round. Stage 2 - Group Stage: From July 10 to July 14, 16 teams (including those advancing from the Play-In) are split into two groups of eight, fighting for playoff positions. Stage 3 - Playoffs: From July 16 to July 21, the top 12 teams will compete in a double elimination bracket, culminating in the crowning of the Riyadh Masters champion.
League of Legends makes its grand entrance into the EWC with a single-elimination bracket featuring 8 top-tier teams vying for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Competition Dates: From July 4 to July 7, teams will face off in high-stakes matches, each aiming to advance and claim the prestigious title.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid-Season Championship 2024 partnered with EWC to deliver a riveting competition involving 23 teams. Stage 0 (Play-In) - Wildcard: From June 28 to July 30, two groups of four teams compete for the last spot in the group stage. Stage 1 - Group Stage: From July 3 to July 7, 16 teams (four groups of four) will clash to secure playoff berths. Stage 2 - Playoffs: From July 10 to July 14, the top 8 teams will face off in a single elimination bracket for a $3,000,000 prize pool.
Call of Duty: Warzone introduces its Resurgence mode at the EWC, featuring 21 teams of three players each, competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Competition Dates: From July 3 to July 6, players engage in a multi-stage format: Stage 1 - Group Seeding: A solo mode battle with 63 players to determine group placements. Stage 2 - Group Stage: Three groups of seven teams compete to advance to the final stage. Stage 3 - Finals: The top 14 teams face off in the final showdown.
