Esports World Cup Warzone Finals Star Players To Watch

Warzone tournaments have always been defined by huge performances from star players, and the Esports World Cup Warzone Finals will be no exception. Here are just a few of the explosive players to keep your eyes on during the Finals.

Biffle & Shifty | Team Falcon’s

It’s impossible to discuss the stars of Warzone without bringing up the All-American duo of Biffle and Shifty.

The reigning 2023 World Series of Warzone Global Champions are individually cracked in terms of aim and mechanics. But their true potential is unlocked through the tactics they employ while playing together — taking highground, dominating the map, and always giving themselves favorable fights.

Prxdigy | Team abWizz

Prxdigy is a well-established Warzone player who has won multiple Twitch Rivals events and previously held the Warzone single-map Kill Record. And thus far at the Esports World Cup, he has put on commanding performances, leading his team to 2nd place in the overall standings heading into the Finals. You can be sure he will be out for blood on Saturday.

Skullface | FNATIC

In terms of individual skill, Skullface stands among the best. He beat out 149 other competitors to win the $100,000 SOLO YOLO tournament last year at the World Series of Warzone, and he showed up big in the group stage this week. If he can show up tomorrow too, FNATIC is in the running for a top three finish.

Aydan | Twisted Minds

Formerly a New York Subliners star, Aydan made his name as the highest-earning Warzone pro, becoming the first to earn $200k and $300k playing Warzone. Based on the group stage, Aydan and his team are serious contenders with the skills to pick up some match victories during Saturdays Finals.

Dongy | SGP Syndicate

A breakout Esports World Cup star, Dongy was a last second addition to SGP Syndicate. Despite being a late addition, he slot into this team’s system beautifully throughout the group stage. He is one of the most dynastic slayers on the server, and proved it by winning an MVP title for Day 1.

MethodZ | Team Heretics

MethodZ recently coached Miami Heretics to a Champs berth in the CDL. But before heading to CDL Champions, he has business to stand on at the Esports World Cup.

Under MethodZ leadership, Heretics have played spoiler to many top teams in the group stage. Now MethodZ will bring his veteran experience to bear on the first ever EWC Warzone Finals.

Warzone Finals Predictions

Now you know the players, let’s talk about what teams you can expect to excel during the Finals.

Team Falcons: The Favorites

Featuring the reigning World Series of Warzone Champions Biffle & Shifty, Team Falcons dominated the group stage. They scored 255 points, over 100 more than the next closest challenger. The squad earned five map wins, including a perfect four-match sweep on Friday.

Between their slaying power and tactical prowess, Team Falcons are the clear favorite to win this event in front of the home crowd.

Team Abwizz, Twisted Minds, NAVI & FNATIC: Top 5 Contenders

Team Abwizz placed 2nd place in groups, primarily due to Prxdigy and Oekiy absolutely fragging out. They still fell short of Team Falcons by over 100 points, so the probability they can topple the home team is low, but in Warzone anything is possible.

Speaking of fraggers, Twisted Minds is looking strong with two top fraggers of their own: zSmit and Aydan. Not only did this squad win the solo stage, they also picked up two group stage wins in back-to-back days. So don’t be sleeping on this team, they are the real deal.

Both NAVI and FNATIC have shown incredible consistently throughout the group stage. With 8 matches in the Finals, that reliability could be the difference maker. If they can continue to put up consistent numbers on Saturday, both of these teams have a great shot at top 3 finish.

SGP Syndicate & Team Heretics: The Dark Horses

SGP Syndicate is in the midst of a breakout run at the Esports World Cup. Much of their success can be attributed to Dongy, who is having perhaps the best tournament of his career. With a little luck and a lot of skill, this team has what it takes to pull off an upset against some of these more established teams.

Team Heretics is downright scary right now. Even more seasoned teams are steering clear of Heretics, because they have been putting teams in the ground all group stage. In the Finals, teams better beware of Heretics, because if you let your guard down, they will make you pay.

The stage is set, the teams are decided, and the time has come. Only one team can lift the inaugural Esports World Cup Call Of Duty Warzone trophy, and it’s all going down live starting at 18:00 (GMT+3). You won’t want to miss it!
