From Riyadh to Bangkok, Alpha7 Completes a Championship Comeback

Dec 29, 2025.

Alpha7 Esports closed out the 2025 PUBG Mobile competitive season by winning the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. The Brazilian squad finished the tournament with 142 total points, edging out ULF Esports and Alpha Gaming to claim their share of the $3,000,000 prize pool and cement their place among the world’s elite PUBG Mobile teams.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025 (PMGC) brought together 40 teams from across the globe, representing regional leagues and the season-long competitive circuit. The tournament began with The Gauntlet and group stages before narrowing the field to 16 teams for the Grand Finals, which were played across three days and 18 total matches. Consistency across the tournament was essential, as teams earned points through eliminations and final placements, leaving little time to breathe between drops.

Brazil takes the international PUBG Mobile crown

Alpha7 entered the Grand Finals as a contender but faced early pressure as several teams surged ahead on the leaderboard during the opening matches. The Brazilian team remained composed, focusing on smart rotations rather than chasing risky fights. That approach paid off on the second day, when Alpha7 delivered back to back match wins that vaulted them into the title conversation and shifted momentum in their favor.

Across the remainder of the event, Alpha7 continued to rack up crucial placement points while maintaining steady elimination counts. Their ability to survive into late game circles and convert strong positions into high finishes allowed them to build a points cushion heading into the final matches. When the Grand Finals concluded, Alpha7’s 142 points were enough to secure the championship ahead of ULF Esports in second place and Alpha Gaming in third.

The PMGC victory capped a long and demanding season for Alpha7, who competed in multiple international events throughout 2025. The team’s triumph in Bangkok showcased its adaptability and endurance, qualities that have defined Alpha7’s rise within the PUBG Mobile esports scene over the past several years. Winning the Global Championship also reinforces South America’s presence at the top level of mobile esports competition.

From Riyadh to Brazil to Bangkok

Earlier in the year, Alpha7 competed on one of the biggest stages in esports at the PUBG Mobile World Cup at the 2025 Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event featured 24 top teams from around the world battling through group stages, a special Survival Stage, and finals for international glory.

None of this was new for Alpha7, as the team took home the first place trophy at EWC 2024. Lucas “Carrilho” Carrilho and company did not fare nearly as well during the summer of 2025. The Brazilians failed to make it to the Grand Finals, ending their run in 21st place.

Alpha7 was a favorite heading into Riyadh, making the disappointing finish even more difficult. At the same time, it makes their win at PMGC that much more impressive. Bouncing back on an international stage after struggling under the pressure at one of the biggest tournaments of the year is a masterclass in staying focused.

Road to EWC

Yangon Galacticos came out on top at EWC earlier this year, but the Myanmar based squad did not make an appearance in Thailand. Alpha7, based nearly 16,000 kilometers from the Southeast Asian organization, winning the end of year competition proves just how global PUBG Mobile’s esports scene has become. Battle royales can be chaotic and unpredictable, but teams from all over the world continue to rise to the moment on the biggest stages.

Alpha7 was far from the only squad from EWC present in Bangkok. Chinese owned, mixed nationality squad Alpha Gaming, South Korean team DRX, and Indonesian organization Alter Ego Ares all finished the international event with strong placements after performing well in Riyadh. The competition in PUBG Mobile remains incredibly close, setting the stage for another compelling season in 2026.
