About
The Characters: An esports staple that refuses to go away. Players take the role of one of three factions: the expansionary, militaristic Terran, the buglike Zerg horde, or the high-technology alien race known as Protoss. Each has their own unique abilities and complex strategies to master.
The Plot: Players will mine minerals and gas to fund the creation of buildings, workers, and units to expand their power. The more resources they bring in, the faster they can build up their army and defeat their opponent.The winner is decided in part by strategic
choices throughout the game, from when and where to expand, to build order, to any late game pivots that will undermine their opponents' investments. The rest of victory comes down to micro, or how well players control their units in battle.
Why: As one of the most popular RTS titles in history and one of the OG esports to go mainstream, StarCraft II has a legacy that the EWC is honored to be a part of. Long-time fans will be in the crowd, passionate about their favorite pro players, who they've followed for years.

March pushed the Road to EWC forward, delivering decisive results across multiple esports titles and confirming key qualifiers for the season ahead. Nongshim RedForce dominated VCT Masters Santiago in VALORANT, T1’s Tseng “ZJZ” Chia-chen and Tsunehiro “Gachikun” Kanamori claimed top honors in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves and Street Fighter 6 at DreamHack Birmingham, and Trackmania and Call of Duty: Warzone qualifiers gave clubs and players a place to Riyadh.
