About
Whether you are Radiant or Dire, you must defend your ancient to win.
The Characters: There are 126 different playable heroes across two roles: Core and Support. Every hero has a different set of abilities that determines their distinct playstyle, allowing them to work as a team of five to kill enemy players and fight for domination of the map.
The Plot: Teams compete to destroy the “Ancient” a structure inside their base. Like other MOBA titles, Dota 2 features lanes with creeps who move up those lanes and can be escorted by players to help them make
progress in pushing the lane toward the enemy base. Players level up and gain money to spend on items at locations around the map, giving them special abilities that make it easier to destroy the Ancient in late-game.
Why: Dota 2 is one of the most hype esports scenes in the world, with massive prize pools, long-time teams, and even longer rivalries. The storylines will all heat up at EWC, where the best teams in the world will compete for glory on a massive stage.
