Warzone is dropping into EWC 2025

After an electrifying outing in 2024, Warzone is redeploying into Riyadh to join EWC 2025! Last year featured an innovative format that took place on Rebirth Island.

This year Warzone, fans can look forward to even more fast-paced fragging from the best battle royale shooters in the world!

LAST TIME ON: EWC: Warzone
Last year, Warzone opened the Esports World Cup with a bang! Over the course of eight games on Rebirth Island, Team Falcon’s players Biffle, Shifty, and Soka absolutely dominated the field. Throughout the finals, they put up a total of 137 kills, frying their way to the $200,000 top prize! And along the way, they also won all four of their Groups games, a feat that had never been done before in Warzone esports!
This year, the 2024 Title holders will return to face twenty fresh challengers looking to commit regicide and take the throne for themselves!
EWC: Warzone 2025 Dates and Tournament Format
EWC Warzone 2025 will take place August 6th to 9th, and is set to feature 21 teams in total.
Qualification slots will be distributed as follows:
- 1x EWC 2024 Title Defender
- 7x EWC Online Qualifier: North America
- 7x EWC Online Qualifier: Europe
- 2x EWC Online Qualifier: LATAM North
- 1x EWC Online Qualifier: LATAM South
- 2x EWC Online Qualifier: MENA
- 1x EWC Online Qualifier: APAC
The tournament starts with a group stage, with three groups of seven fighting for supremacy across four maps each. Stage 2 is a last chance qualifier featuring fourteen teams who fell short in Stage 1. They will have a chance to prove themselves across an additional six matches with hopes of reaching the finals.
Stage 3 is the finals, and will feature fourteen teams competing in a match point format. In this format, teams will fight to reach a certain number of points that are scored based on kills and final placement. Once that point threshold is reached, the team must win a match to claim the title of EWC champion.

EWC: Warzone 2025 Prize Pool
The EWC Warzone prize pool totals $1 million USD, one of the larger prize pools available in competitive Warzone. These players are going to be hungry for that cash!
