But with sheer force of will, jafonso persevered to win that match in a 7-6 overtime nail-biter! With momentum heading his way, he picked up the Championship against his finals opponent, young, in a 6-2 stomping.

Jafonso is looking to defend his title, but he will have to best 31 other hungry competitors if he wants to secure back-to-back EA SPORTS FC™ 25 championships!

FC Pro World Championship at 2025 Esports World Cup Dates and Tournament Format

Tune in to watch the tournament August 7-10. FC Pro World Championship at 2025 EWC is set to include a total of 32 elite players.

It all starts in the GSL Group Stage where the pro players will be whittled down to the round of 16. Those 16 will then fight to earn a spot in the top eight single elimination bracket, which in turn will determine your EA SPORTS FC™ 25 champion!
