Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and its many attendant Chicken Dinners are making their way back to the Esports World Cup in 2025!

Witness the non-stop action of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup, as we will welcome 24 teams from around the world to our stage to compete for the second year in a row.

The realistic and gritty battle royale will bring cutthroat competition, intense teamfights, and insane strategy to the EWC stage. But only one team can survive.


LAST TIME ON: PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup

Last year’s competition was a spectacle! Team Soniqs came, they saw, and boy, did they conquer. Ultimately, in the Grand Finals, the squad walked away with three chicken dinners and over 60 kills to stand victorious. It was Soniqs’ first-ever S-tier championship win. Now the org will have a shot to go back-to-back at EWC 2025.

Who will stand on top of the PUBG world, and who will fall by the wayside? Let’s find out!


PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup Dates and Format

Tune into PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup on August 12-16.

Like last year, the tournament will feature 24 teams and take place in two stages. The first stage will be a Group Stage featuring three groups of eight teams. The top teams in each group will earn a spot in the Stage 2 Finals, featuring 16 teams in the final matches. Whoever can score the most points in the Finals will be crowned the best PUBG team in the world!

The prize pool for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 is $2 million. Significant prizes are available for the winner and other top placements, so even when teams aren’t competing for the top prize, they’ll still be giving it their all to maximize that final ranking and payout!
