MLBB is back for the Esports World Cup in 2025. With mobile esports bringing powerful new regions to the forefront, you can be sure that teams in both divisions will give it their absolute all at EWC MLBB 2025 to rep their clubs.
Two great leagues, one mobile game, $3.5 million on the line… Which two teams will emerge victorious?
LAST TIME ON: MLBB Mid Season Cup
Last year, Selangor Red Giants took the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup at EWC 2024 along with the eye popping $1,000,000 USD top prize. To get there, the first ever Malaysian champions in the making survived a brutal 7-game slugfest of a Grand Final against Falcons AP. Bren.
Both finalists dominated their pathway to the top, only dropping one map a piece ahead of their Grand Final showdown! While all the players from Selangor Red Giants showed up huge to win the tournament, it was their Jungler Sekys who pushed it over the top and took home the MVP title and $50,000 cash prize.
On the women’s side, it was Smart Omega Empress who earned their crown along with a $180,000 USD purse by pulling off one of the biggest upsets of EWC 2024! They dethroned Team Vitality, who at that time were on an unprecedented three-year, 24-tournament win streak! Off the back of next-level play from Gold Laner Shinoa and the rest of her team, they completely outclassed Vitality in the 3-0 Grand Finals sweep.
Regardless of which division you tune in to watch, ML:BB at the EWC does not disappoint!
Dates and Tournament Format
MLBB EWC 2025 will kick off with the Wildcard stage starting on July 10-13, the start to the main event will take place July 23-27, July 31- August 2, and ML:BB Women EWC 2025 will go down July 15-19.
Twenty-four teams in total will compete in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational at 2025 Esports World Cup. We’ll kick off with a wildcard eight-team round robin to narrow down the field to the top sixteen. The top 16 will then enter into a double-elimination group stage to decide the top eight. Finally, we’ll finish it all off with an eight-team single elimination playoff to determine the MLBB EWC Champion!
The MLBB Womens EWC 2025 tournament will feature 16 teams in total. The tournament will begin with a double elimination group stage to determine the eight teams who will compete in a single elimination playoff to determine the new ML:BB women’s champion!
Prize Pool
The prize pool for MLBB EWC is a massive $3,000,000 USD, while MLBB EWC Women’s will feature a respectable $550,000 USD for the taking.
