Honor of Kings rejoins EWC for 2025

The wildly popular mobile MOBA title Honor of Kings is back for another year at EWC 2025. Last year KPL Dream Team made its way to the top of the HoK world, with the all-star team pulling off the victory without dropping a single map.

Last year, the KPL Dream Team dominated the competition. Winning a championship isn’t easy, but KPL made it look like a breeze at EWC 2024. With a flawless 5-0 Group stage, and then a seven-map winning streak through the playoffs, they absolutely obliterated their opposition on their way to installing their key in the EWC trophy! And what did they get for their trouble? A COOL $1 million top prize.
This year is going to be even more intense. The Chinese HoK scene has been around for years, but the global KWC at EWC 25 tournament will introduce teams from all around the world that are determined to take down these titans. Powers are growing and teams are about to clash like never before.
Honor of Kings World Cup at 2025 Esports World Cup Dates and Format
You can tune into the Honor of Kings World Cup at 2025 Esports World Cup July 10-12 and then July 23-26.
We’ll begin with Stage 1—the Group Stage. During this stage, four groups of four will fight for a place in the Finals in a GSL format. In Stage 2, teams that failed to qualify in Stage 1 will be given a final chance in the Last Chance Single Elimination Bracket, which will feature four teams in total.
And lastly, Stage 3 will be the Playoffs. Here, eight teams will compete through a high-stakes single elimination bracket to find out if other regions have what it takes to take on China’s best Honor of Kings teams. It’s sure to be the most intense HoK tournament to date with a lot to prove.

Like last year, teams will once again compete for a massive prize pool, totaling $3,000,000. With cash and bragging rights on the table, who will climb to the top of the heap at EWC 2025?
